Theres Is no reason a game as popular as 2k should be having input delay issues period, let alone for several generations of games. Its really sad cause I was just getting into my career and my team but now I feel like I can only really play the cpu. He was able to guard 1 to 5. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/245157-dennis-rodman-the-most-underrated-player-in-nba-history 89-90 DPOY "In 90-91 He played such strong defense that the NBA stated he "could shut down any opposing player, from point guard to center." This was a time when PF and C were pretty big. On the 88-89 Pistons his Perimeter Defense is 53... On the 95-96 Bulls his Perimeter Defense is 50... He doesn't have any defense badges in either, only rebounding and his Lateral Quickness is 50. All Time Bulls gave him defensive badges but his PD is 66.. To put it in context, 95-96 Toni Kukoc PD is 70 and LQ 76 - Current Kevin Durant is PD is 85 and LQ is 85 - 95-96 Shawn Kemp has 59 PD and 59 LQ (small but why is he a better perimeter defender?) - Current Paul Millsap had 78 PD and LQ 77 I'm lost on the disrespect to him, and also the 95-96 bulls had 4 great Perimeter Defenders - MJ, Scottie, Harper and Rodman. Kind of ruins one of if not the greatest team of all time. Dwight Howard and Embiid have better PD LQ smh He should also have inside defensive badges but they gave him 98 Inside Defense for that so I guess it means something? [link] [comments] | ||

I was going through the subreddit and I'm shocked that this isn't something that's brought up more often. It's absolutely unplayable. Shame, because I feel like this year's 2K has made some major improvements, but I can no longer play getting crossed up by James Harden because it takes my player 2 seconds to react in the direction that my stick moved in, or passing the ball in the complete opposite direction because of the delay in the directional stick registration, or missing free throws and jump shots because the shot meter loves going further for a solid 2 seconds after I take my thumb off of X or square. 2K21 could be a great sports game, but the online server latency and delay makes playing feel like a chore. They hesi for a second then instantly start sprinting at light speed for an easy open shot. I am happy to announce that I am finally finished! I painstakingly created every player (not already in the game) and adjusted their attributes over the course of two months. All of their contracts are adjusted for inflation. Making them accurate for 2020. All injuries are accurate (per prosportstransactions.comPro Sports Transactions. Like what type of reward is that for someone whose put hours into this game. Give us something to make us feel accomplished and reward us for grinding. | Post Scoring Tips 2k21 Next Gen (video included) Posted: 07 Jan 2021 10:27 AM PST Just thought I would share a few tips to the aspiring post scorers out there. Currently averaging 17/11 on 70% shooting in the rec, and most people think its impossible to play this way without a 5 man squad, and although its definitely easier with 5 friends, its perfectly viable with randoms as well. The key is to be assertive and make quick moves. From my experience people don't mind watching someone dribble for 10+ seconds, but if you want the rock regularly in the post, you have to show people you can get it and put it in the hoop quickly. if the game is on the line and youve been abusing your matchup, trust me, even a random is going to be looking for you. With that being said, here are my tips for success as a post scorer.
You have to be quick to make sure they get the assist, but if you can get a quick hook shoot off after a flashy pass you will be one shot from team take over. I normally can get team at least once or twice a game without even trying using this method. I believe the last clip of the bottom link shows you how much you can get from just one shot. anymore questions feel free to ask. below are just some clips I pulled of me working the post. | How does match making work in unlimited? Posted: 08 Jan 2021 12:19 AM PST Kind of a rant. I started 3 days ago. I have one amethyst and rubies and a diamond in silver league. Why the hell am I playing dudes who dropped their bank account on the game? Did I start too late? I used to be a top 100 myteam player in 17. I didn't buy this years game till now, honestly because I just got the PS5, and wasn't going to. And wow. Holy wow is this game bad. My movement is wack. I didn't make a single shot that wasn't green and the guy I played is pulling moving white threes from half court banging them on me. I know 2K is the most pay to win Myteam out there. But how do I win this late in the year? What are good playbooks and defensive settings? I'm having no fun at all and thinking about returning the game. I don't want to put 57 days of gameplay in the game to have a competitive team nor do I want to give 2K any more money than I already have. Sorry for the rant but would love pointers. | Does anyone else hate MyCareer? Posted: 07 Jan 2021 04:38 PM PST MyCareer fails to keep my interest for barely half a season and is frankly stupid Why is it possible to be MVP,DPOY,All-NBA,All Defense, All star captain, dunk and 3pt Champion all in your rookie season? It takes any immersion or sense of value from the awards Why can't I be the 15ppg role player to start if I wanted to be, Why can't I be the co star?Why do I always have to be the underdog chosen one? They never want you to play a role on a team even though that is not how it works in real life like I'm the center of attention on a team with Kawhi and PG. Let me make my choices why can't you be a spot up shooter for teams that need it like Lakers, Sixers, Spurs and Bucks or a defensive presence for the Nets, Warriors and Rockets or event the playmaker for the Clippers, it would be nice to play according to what a team needs even though there is a specific reason you would be drafted or signed. Why don't you immediately start as a lottery pick? I was the FIRST PICK in the NBA draft but a trash team like the Knicks won't star you or at least give you significant minutes. OFFENSE Not to mention the trash and scripted gameplay mechanics that make me internally scream every five minutes. For instance, as a point guard 2k forces unnecessary turnovers like dribbling on the air behind someone's foot defenders tipping passes while fully turned around in the other direction or blocking alley oops when they aren't looking at the passer or the cutter. Or your teammates not understanding the concept of spacing the goddamn floor always bringing their defenders to double team even when I called iso. Plays don't mean shit because screen setters can never set proper screens for shooters or they jog around screens. Sometimes they have wide open shots but instead opt to drive to paint only to try and pull up in front of GIANNIS or KP and proceed to get blocked. Even pick and rolls that the AI is totally inept at defending and especially executing are fucked like Why in the fuck are Giannis and Ben Simmons trying to pick and FADE. There are literally so many instances of me trying to pass the ball but getting stuck in a forced jumpball or steal animation it's not even funny. Directional passing is fucked especially on PC DEFENSE And on the defensive side, there are so many times when I play perfect defense but then you get snapped into a contact layup animation (which should be an offensive foul btw) or get dunked on by IVICA FUCKIN ZUBAC EVEN WHEN I WENT UP TO BLOCK IT. Or you get blown by because 2k doesn't understand how changing direction works, there is nothing worse than trying to rotate to an open player but you can't contest because you get thrown another direction by sprinting. When in the low post your teammates and opponents will play the dumbest help defense imaginable like "KD is posting up our perfectly capable 7'3" Center with Moving truck and post move lockdown HOF I better leave Kyrie wide open and help/foul him for no reason". There is a special kind of pain when you block a shot but your hands pass through the ball or stealing the ball but the offense gets it back and now your defense is broken leading to an easy score. When in the paint an opposing center or whoever will grab an offensive rebound dribble out and then snap ini this ridiculously fast step-through animation that you can't contest consistently because it either moves you out of position because of the hit box or your player gets an awkward off balance block attempt with the wrong hand, it's either snatch block or nothing. FLOATERS.WILL.GO.IN NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO(even though they are one of the toughest shots to make in real life) it's either heavy contest, block, airborne block or nothing, Late 65% covered off high glass SWISH. Perimeter defense is also fucked because all the cpu does is spin or or halfspin and you move in another direction automatically or 2k makes you freeze(without that player having ankle breaker) which stops you from getting a good contest because you can't keep up even though you have high speed and Lat quickness or better yet get forced into all the bullshit and-one animations. The AI is totally inept at transition and pick and roll defense. Kemba Walker will run to the paint to pick up Draymond in transition but not Curry or Klay which proceeds to give wide open shots that they never miss. The AI is also inept at offball defense And don't get me started on the fact that they damn near never put their hands up to contest a shot. On another level they don't get player tendencies right like why do Chris Clemons, Devontae Graham and Jeff Teague always drive straight to the paint every time as if they are not shorter than 6'2" while Kristaps Porzingis and Will Cauley-Stein are there? Or Harden's step back being so slow and predictable which always leads to a heavily contested shot or block. Dame and Curry taking fading threes they would never take in a close game. Making Certain players overpowered like Ivica Zubac dunking on Anthony Davis or RJ Barrett suddenly turning into Kyrie and scoring regardless of whatever you do. Like Bro I'm sick and tired of this shit. 2K22-2K25 are about to be the same as next gen now mark my words [link] [comments] |
