2k Glitched Making My WNBA Player Naked

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 09:49 PM PST

As an avid basketball fan, I am truly heartbroken by the state of 2K.

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 11:53 AM PST

There's just so little effort that goes into making a genuine basketball experience by these devs (as far as online play goes). And so much focus on how they can efficiently get people to purchase VC. It sucks man. I just wanna casually enjoy some 5v5 ball without worrying about getting multiple threes greened in my face from about 40 feet like they're layups. Oh, and then there's actual layups that refuse to drop when a dude is just standing a foot away from the rim.

    State of the game

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 10:08 PM PST

TL;DR: People who never go outside are ruining the game.

Just an honest question, are people enjoying 2k on next gen? I got it and play casually with friends and its absolutely atrocious for me.

Its not a game to be played casually anymore. Every team we play against in rec is literally already straight 5 stack 99s. Shooting from half court and dunking on the full team.

I honestly hope people are enjoying it but I think it is absolutely awful. MyCareer is fun but the online seems to have 0 matchmaking and if you don't have a full stack it instantly gives you some god awful AIs. Literally every rec game our overall is like 88, the other teams is ALWAYS 98 or 99.

Friendly reminder it has been over a month and pro am is still completely broken

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 02:43 PM PST

Just thought I would throw this out there because it seems to have died off. You can't just put something about an update to pro-am matchmaking in the update notes without actually having done anything to it. You can spend hours dashing and searching over and over before you actually get all 10 in. Private matchmaking is a waste of time to even try. Have they even announced anything about this?

Weird you would promote a 2k league, BASED ON PRO-AM, and then not even have it work for over a month. Lol

Shootout with other teams guard ends in crazy game winner!

[BUG FIX] If your MyCAREER spawn point is at The Rec, you have to leave the building, take off your Beats, and go back inside, otherwise you won’t have any volume while playing.

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 04:39 PM PST

I was going crazy tryna figure out why I had no volume. Ended up just being another unnecessary extra step I gotta take. Smh.

How do we vote in the Mayor Elections?

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 10:15 PM PST

It says to go to City Hall to vote, I'm at the Vipers building which is what I assume is the city hall. It has one door and no option to enter. Am I missing something?

    Tips for myGM (Especially trading)

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 09:23 PM PST

Hey, I'm by no means new to 2k, but I just recently tried out MyGM and I think it's actually pretty fun. Are there any tips that anyone has to help me get even better at it? Like is there anything I can do to absolutely rip people off on trades? My thought is that given the ridiculous number of bugs in 2k, there has to be some way to cheese it a bit.

Why do u constantly have to be an underdog and go through the G League in 2k21. It’s not even realistic and makes no sense half of the time.

    Posted: 19 Dec 2020 01:06 AM PST

It's getting very stale and uninteresting. Why can't we go back to 2k16 and 17 and be a top recruit and get drafted high. Like actually have a realistic career.

After playing nba 2k21 next gen for A good amount here’s my thoughts and tips and tricks for those who are struggling in mycareer and rec/park

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 08:47 AM PST

Honestly i was ready to give up on this game i was terrible in the rec couldn't make A shot to save my life we were getting blown out every game. However here's what i learned so far.

SHOOTING: If you are hitting shots in mycareer but not rec or Park. I'd advise turning the difficulty up since the sliders are more difficult. The timing is different. It does not matter how high you're 3 point rating is or how many shooting badges you have on if you don't know or time it correctly you will not make shots. I learned this the hard way. Also use the jumpshot creator and understand certain bases are slower than others. For example curry and harden have A slow base so even though i was open in the rec because my player took so long to gather his feet defenders were able to close out. If your jumper isn't working change it, watch YouTube videos. Also turn the shot meter off because you get A boost and it helps. Now I'm shooting over 50% in the rec.

    Rec/Park

If you don't have A squad or friends to play with these modes are unplayable. In Park randoms will not pass the ball nor will they play defense. In the rec you will go against 97+ overalls every game since not everyone has next gen. People quit during games, you will always have an AI on your team if you don't have A full squad. Everyone plays 2-3 and traps the ball handler and the offense is OP. I would not play these modes until you have A decent amount of badges. I have Gold intimidator gold clamps and HOF rim protector and dudes still hit contested 3s and the contact dunks are op. This game rewards too many bad shots.

    My player builder:

This area needs work PFs have the most badges and best attributes and can do everything. I also don't like how certain attributes lock even when you aren't 95. It's an improvement from current gen though. Also make A build that best suits your play style, don't do what i did and make 5 different builds and spend vc on all of them. I gave up because i tried making A Demi god build. This is why so many people struggle in this game. Also the way builds are A PF can get HOF quick first step with 81 speed with ball and guards can't. Make the build that best suits you and test it out before spending vc and watch YouTube videos to help.

    Defense:

This area definitely needs work. I always make A 2-way shot creator/sharpshooter build and can lockdown my matchups and guard 1-5. However because of how OP offense in this game is, defensive builds struggle. Intimidator is almost useless i feel like it only actives in the paint. Too many blow bys, contact dunks. Curry slide is op. If someone has circus threes, deep threes it's game over they will not miss. Certain animations won't even happen unless you have certain badges.

    Understanding your role in rec

If you're struggling in rec, understand and learn basketball. Know what A screen is and when to roll or pop. If you're in the corner at the 3 cut to the basket. Set offball screens. On defense if you're struggling play 2-3 zone. Know when to switch on pick and rolls. Don't over pursue the ball handler and don't reach od sag off. Also understand this is not mycareer you may average A triple double and be the focal point on your team but in the rec is different. I play with A squad we have 2 point guards 2 bigs and 4 wings/off ball players. If your shots not falling cut to the basket, move the ball, be A playmaker. Get back on defense. Understand what your role is and do not play hero ball.

Also rec has really bad latency issues animations are so delayed I'll pass or shoot the ball and it will take A half second to A second for my player to react. There will be A lose ball and he will just stand there even though I'm trying to get the ball. They need to fix this. I'll also be open and my player takes forever to get his feet set and shoot allow defenders to recover and close out

To wrap it up this game isn't as bad if you understand your role and play style. What helped me is nba 2k lab and YouTube. I watch their vids along with badge plug, Laker Fan, book of SwantE and it helped me make shots more consistently.

This game does need work however because of the skill gap If you're going up against 99s every game with max badges it won't matter how good you are.

TL DR: use jumpshot creator, learn your shot. Make the build that suits your play style and do not try to follow the wave Demi god build if it doesn't work for you. Understand your role in the rec. offense is OP. Lastly follow 2k lab and go on YouTube if you struggle.

Anyone know how to turn off the sun effect in 2k21 next gen mypark? Half the court is dark and the other half is sunny, pretty annoying.

Playing 2K for the first time in many years. Help me out?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2020 12:22 AM PST

With me staying home more than ever and a lack of actual basketball options these days; I decided to pick up 2K today for the first time in maybe 10 years and wow. There is just so much going on and I have no idea where to start.
To do some refreshers I spent some time on 2KU and am clunky but getting there. Any tips here is also greatly recommended.
But here's where I'm lost. Aside from 5 on 5 and the My Career, is there a simplified version of describing what the other game features are and the best aspects of those?
What do you all enjoy doing with the game?
    Thanks in advance.

    REC AIs Ruining Games

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 07:52 PM PST

I cannot stand the AIs in rec. They literally stand off their man and let people shoot open shots over and over. Nice one Ronnie lmao love losing overalls because my 3 can't guard 5 actual users so we just lose to it!
