    yo guys, i don't know if this has been discussed already but i really need all y'all's help.

    look, us Africans aren't riding lions or walking down to rivers to battle crocodiles to get our daily fix of water. i mean some of us are but not all of us. and even the ones tussling with their alligators, you know what they do when they get back to their huts? you know what's awaiting them? that's right. a crisp ps4 or xbox, a touch of civilization helping them escape from the realities of life.

    but 2k, enough is enough. you're not helping us escape, you're making us sink deeper. while the rest of the world is upset for latency and delay which i agree is ass of you, we in Africa have to use EUROPEAN servers. i'll say that again, EUROPE. an entire continent that's 10,000 KILOMETERS AWAY, OR 6213 MILES FOR MY BOYS OUT WEST. do you know what we have to go through? by the time i've started my game in South Africa, it's ended in France. do you know how many enemies i've made online by bricking shots that should've been greens?? the whole of Germany hates me now 2k. they hate an African boy they've never met. i can't show my face there. not only because i'm poor, but because i'll be murdered.

    I want to chalk it up to the fact that you're unaware of how big the gaming industry is in Africa, but i know this to be a lie, it's 2020. everyone knows we exist. it would probably be a money issue, my brain says to me. but this too doesn't make sense. developers like EA and Rainbow Six and Treyarch have seen how much money is to be made here, even goddam Epic Games? do you really want to be outdone by goddam Rocket League, 2k??

    enough is enough. surely we can't be expected to play like this forever. the needs of Africa have always been a bit low on the priority scale, but it's time to fix that 2k. basketball is a massive sport here, and what you're doing is dampening the spirits of an entire continent desperate to be a part of a community that is simply saying it has no place for them.

    I know you might be skeptical but if we had enough people hop over to the W online, it's a more enjoyable multiplayer experience, and it's completely microtransaction free.

    You level up by gaining fans and wealth, by doing things like being a coach in china or hosting a basketball camp in the off season. This unlocks tons of clothes and ups your overall until 99 all for 0 dollars.

    The 3v3 multiplayer is matchmaking based so you don't have to waste time waiting for a game. There's no waiting to play games, you click the W and go into the WNBA game, you can skip everything, no waiting 5/10 seconds to skip timeouts. You make a decent amount of VC playing games as well, and I'm gonna end up using this on the regular MyCareer, as you don't need a single VC for this mode at all.

    It's very satisfying unlocking stuff and leveling up just from playing. It reminds me of the old 360/ps3 era MyCareer honestly.

    It might not be your cup of tea, but I really recommend this to anyone, especially anyone missing that old MyCareer where you didn't need to spend a dime to unlock cool stuff.

    There is one little catch though...

    You can't dunk.

    I mean I dunked one time with my 6'10" C and I had takeover and the lane was empty.

    But if you don't care to dunk or would be a shooter anyway it's so worth it.

    How difficult is it to make a functional multiplayer experience? Seriously..

    This is beyond ridiculous tbh.

    Who honestly asked/wanted a city? It literally serves no purpose at all.. most cities are dead, its a burden having to travel around it. No one asked for this.. this is a basketball game.

    You have added this ridiculously random city which lets people skateboard and ride bikes while the actual features related to basketball like rec and pro am have remained the same for years?

    You're telling me they're able to think and create this entire new city but there has been absolutely zero innovation in pro am or rec? Its the same menus, features for the past 3 years. Menus still dont work nor do leaderboards. The courts etc are exactly the same. Matchmaking is terrible.

    Its actually infuriating they do this and get away with it.. how difficult was it to implement a rank system in rec or pro am? A league with progression and some structure. Rec is as imbalanced as it has ever been.. whats the point of adding two 60 rated AIs? These guys literally give 5 metres of space on defence. It just turns into teams exploiting the ai with the easiest stand still 3s..or a constant barrage of ally oops.

    On a related note, wtf are these new bounce pass ally oops and who thought it would be a good idea to put this in rec man? When does this shit happen in real life? Yet you're putting park lvl shit in a 5v5 comp mode. It makes zero sense.

    2k have honestly made absolutely minimal efforts to actually improve the core game or features. Rec is still a completely underwhelming experience with no actual structure behind it.. 2k have just made a bare bones 5v5 mode with no care or attention at all.

    Why not add rec leaderboards? A league system? Different playlists? Filters for party size.

    Actual matchmaking instead of letting teams of 5 power forwards team up?

    These are honestly the smallest of things to implement that would dramatically increase player experience.. yet theyre adding in entire cities which honestly just makes things worse with all the increased time just to travel.

    Something has to change.. what has 2k honestly improved about mycareer behind a completely irrelevant- non basketball related city?

    Mycareer, park, rec, pro am are all the same broken features weve seen recycled for like 4 years now.. shits a joke.

    When did 2k stop being about basketball and start being about culture? Seriously Ronnie has turned this into an almost perfect basketball game to a forced hype beast wannabe.

    All of the designers available in the game, trying his hardest to mix with celebrities like travis scott and the game. Trying to turn streamers into little celebrities. The whole thing is forced and i wonder why 2k is going in this direction.. the guy loves the sound of his own voice and being the center of attention. he's tried to turn 2k about himself with all the self promotion and dumb shit he does like 2k fest...

    Just build a playable game ffs

    My boys and I do several Myleagues a 2k since 2k13. Usually we get them nearly filled up and active with drafted rosters and have a multi-seasoned blast. On next gen, we gathered around some people, did the draft, just for the game to give us errors every time anyone tries to play a game. It is completely unplayable. I get that it's not a monetized game mode, but a core group of 2kers are just being left out to dry with no words or acknowledgment from any1 on 2ks side. I enjoy this game even though I think the gameplay can be tweaked for the better, but the continual lack of communication is disgusting.

    An absolute joke that you'll get dinged with a loss and boost depletion for opponents leaving.

    Hey guys, playing next gen and I got a SG with 20 possible shooting badges.

    I been working on my shot aiming and enjoying it. Has anyone tried this badge out? Would it be worth it to get it first to increase my consistency, or should I stick with picking up "S tier" badges like blinders etc. first?

    "Four out corners tight" and other Team Adjustments

    Is there anywhere a detailed explanation on what each Team Adjustment on defense actually does?

    For instance I assume the "four out corners tight" is a zone variant that keeps the big man in the low post and spreads the other four players out wide to protect uncontested threes, but I may be totally wrong here. I just can't find an explanation anywhere. Or for any of those Team Adjustments for that matter.

    Am I going insane or does 2k short you ~200 VC every game? And the VC earned for stats doesn't match up.

    For example, I got 33 rebounds, 28 points, and had 3 TOs. I got 32 VC from stats. Additionally, I earned 1012 VC overall (I skipped story) and only got 800ish. Anyone else?

    More than ever before I feel myself getting completely frozen out by my teammates. It seems like I'm in a team where atleast 3 people are friends and won't pass the ball. Does anyone think this has to do with "comp" park players coming to the rec because of park lag? Do you all think the rec will be back to normal if 2k fixes the park?

    You should NOT FINISH WITH AN A IF YOU GIVE UP 20 on defense and shoot less than 30%, at some point if you're constantly bricking wide open 3s you should stop getting the "good shot" bonus
