    I can’t stand playing 2k21

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 08:48 PM PDT

I've been playing for over 10 years since 2k11 and I simply can not stand playing 2k21. Sitting down is way more comfortable and I don't get leg cramps

This ever happened to anyone before? Evidently he had some cheer aspirations lol

For those who dont want the playshot name, heres an offensive threat thats not a liability on defense.

With today's patch, we move to the rubber band era of shooting.

Why would the camera change as I'm shooting a free throw?

CPU shooting in mycareer is broken

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 05:44 PM PDT

Ever since the adjustment to shooting the CPU shoots insane percentages. On Pro I'm having to score 160 a game just to win by 6. Hawks just shot 65% from the floor and 55% from three. I don't mind a challenge but this is just ridiculous on the pro setting.

2k21 isnt for casual players anymore

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 06:34 AM PDT

I've purchased every 2k since 2k16 and i've enjoyed most of them until this one. I work a 12 hour shift and before 2k21 when i got off work i would come home crack open a beer and play park/rec and have a good time relaxing cause im a casual player and dont have time to spend playing this game 8+ hours a day. Every time i play 2k21 i feel like its another job, not a fun video game experience. I wish this developers would take casual players into consideration instead of fucking up their game because sweats ruin the fundamentals of the game like shooting. I cant even make a damn jumpshot in my career because this years ai defense on my career is if like they were all defensive players of the years. 2k21 is not made for the casual which is unfortunate because the games fundamentals are great, but the shooting makes this game complete trash, which sucks

I played against PJ Washington and Romeo Langford in Park (I also played with Tyrese Maxey after)

Not giving your team mate enough touches ? Looks like he’s not playing on defense anymore . Just starting out ? Too bad nobody wants to play with you because of your rep .

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 09:47 PM PDT

Seriously it's not worth playing it takes ten years to find somebody who actually wants to play with you and when you finally do you're going up against an all star with a 1000 matches played . Don't even get me started on the input lag . People are so quick to defend this game every year when they can't manage to fix the insane lag online year in year out . It's like playing a different game when you compare it to my career .

    NBA 2K21 Update #1 Notes (v1.02)

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 09:15 AM PDT

It's been less than two weeks since NBA 2K21 launched and we're already seeing some incredible ballers dominate the virtual courts! The team at Visual Concepts has been hard at work since launch, taking a look at community feedback and tuning up areas of the game across all game modes. Included in this patch are adjustments to the Pro Stick Aiming system to improve for usability and consistency. Our first update is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

⭐️ = r/NBA2K Feedback Threads or posted frequently.

    General

    • New Pro Stick Aiming/Shot Timing selector. On your first boot, you will now have the option to choose between using the new Pro Stick Aiming mechanic or the traditional Shot Timing mechanic. Your settings file will be updated with the appropriate selection. As always, you can visit your settings at any time to update your shooting preference.
    • Fixed several hangs that could happen when entering and exiting various game modes during the same session, or when idling out at certain areas.
    • ⭐️ Andrew Wiggins now appears with updated facial hair to more accurately represent his appearance.

    Gameplay

    • Enabled the ability to use Pro Stick Shot Aiming with the Shot Meter setting turned off.
    • Ideal Shot Aiming point now determined by how slowly or quickly the Pro Stick is initially deflected when starting a shot. A slow flick will move the ideal aim point to the left, while a fast flick will move the ideal point to the right, giving players more consistency with Pro Stick shooting.
    • Changed Ante Up to use competitive slider settings (more skill-based).
    • ⭐️ When the Shot Feedback setting is set to "OFF," players and opponents will no longer see Excellent Release (green light) animations.
    • Fixed unwanted fadeaway shots that were playing after immediately shooting out of certain dribble moves.
    • Improved standing dunk reliability when using the Pro Stick.
    • Disabled the double team indicator in an effort to clean up the on-screen UI based on community feedback.
    • ⭐️ Added the ability to shoot driving floaters from further away from the basket.
    • Moving Park dribble moves were remapped to "holds" on the Pro Stick, allowing continued use of Hard Stops with L2/LT after unlocking the Park Handles badge.
    • Cleaned up some animation pops in the dribble move system.
    • Fixed ball physics bugs when Shot Timing was set to Real Player %.
    • Toned down the effectiveness of the Lead to Basket pass feature to prevent exploits.

    MyCAREER

    • Fixed a Pro Am 3v3 hang that was being reported by the community.
    • ⭐️ Fixed a hang that some users reported when entering/exiting the Cages.
    • ⭐️ Addressed a case where some users reported loss of control of their MyPLAYER during gameplay.
    • Fixed an issue in MyCOURT where the player was unable to finish some mini-games with certain NBA players as AI.
    • Fixed a hang that could happen at the start of a 3-on-3 game in MyCOURT.
    • ⭐️ Fixed an issue where fan growth in Park games was not properly accumulating.
    • Addressed an issue where custom shoes were sometimes not showing up properly on other players in the Beach.
    • Fixed a hang that some users reported when transitioning between Beach instances.
    • ⭐️ Users will now receive the correct scene after winning the College Championship.

    MyTEAM

    • ⭐️ Fixed a hang that would occur if the user was tracking an expired Agenda.
    • Fixed an issue where the progress bar would fail to show progress on the Agenda Tracker.
    • ⭐️ Fixed user interface issues when applying and upgrading badges to player cards.

    MyLEAGUE / MyGM

    • ⭐️ 2K Share Content (Draft Classes/Players/Rosters) should now properly function when accessed.
    • Tuning improvements to Player Progression, based on community feedback. With our new "Boom or Bust" system, player progression/regression has been completely re-written for 2K21 to provide a level of dynamism such that players will follow different career arcs in different playthroughs.
    • Addressed a MyLEAGUE item where the user would hang when selecting the Save As option after previously accessing the shared save list.

2K Logic is really annoying after patch 1.02

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 07:39 PM PDT

Why the hell is 2K punishing our open shots while making the AI make all their contested shots? Why did 2K do this to the game this year? Why are we penalized for open looks? Why are we penalized for good defense?

What is the endgame here? Did 2K forget that this was supposed to be a basketball game?

The update to the shot stick is unnecessary and basically nerfs it for those of us that were starting to master it

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 11:30 AM PDT

What on earth does the speed at which you move the stick down have to do with aiming for "center"? The answer is nothing. There was already a small percentage of players using it and now you've basically made it so nobody is going to want to use it without hours of practice. 2k just needs to admit that they can't genuinely implement a skill gap and revert back to 2k20 style shooting. This change makes stick aiming highly inconsistent and almost unusable.

This game is getting slaughtered by user reviews due to the problematic shooting and now they've made it even more complicated. At some point we need to acknowledge that this is a video game and adding unnecessary complexities is going to turn off the user base.
