    So, I really love the strategy of basketball. Love having a big in the post, forcing a double, kicking it back out... love a simple screen and roll... love a drive that draws two defenders but opens up an alley oop across the paint...

    The Park just has... like... none.

    Now that everyone can build an everything build, it's a guy in each corner and iso at the top. And it is worse than ever.

    The amount of VC needed to level up is too damn high!

    I'm too lazy to do the math, but it takes substantially more VC to level up a player in next gen 2k21 than previous games I've played.

    I was able to snag 200k worth of VC from that 2kfest stream and my secondary player is only at an 87 with 230,000 VC invested in him already.

    So basically even if you spent a $100 on VC you couldn't level your guy all the way up to 95 with that. That's brutal.

    Interior defense is such an expensive attribute when creating a build

    I really want to make a build with high interior defense to stop the contacts while still being well rounded, but you pretty much have to give up on an entire category to max it out. I might just make a build that maxes out interior, block, and perimeter defense and roll with whatever the badge count may be. I get that 2k doesn't wanna let us simply dominate every aspect of the game but this "free form" builder is such a tease lmao

    playmaking shot creator can’t shoot

    I have a play shot with 95 mid and 93 three hof corner specialist, catch and shoot, and hot zone hunter. But I can't make wide open buckets. I'm using square to shoot. What am I doing wrong and what jumpers are working?

    2K21 standard OR 2K20 Legends Edition ?

    Hey !

    Here is the deal :I can get either 2K21 (standard) or 2K20 (Legends Edition) because I'm trading with a friend who offers me these 2 choices. It will be on PC (Steam)

    Could you tell me which one I should get ?First I was thinking 2K21 without real hesitation, but then I noticed that some people said that it wasn't better than 2K20, so now I don't know.

    I never played an NBA 2K in my life and can't wait to try it out :)

    Are any of the lockdown takeovers worth equipping?

    I plan on making my Primary takeover Spot up Precision and Secondary takeover finishing moves on my SF... I don't think jumpshot contests and perimeter badge drop are good enough to put on (judging by description). Extreme clamps may be ok at best, and I don't have a problem with staying in front of most people. Anybody experiment with lock takes yet?

    What is your idea for a fix regarding the MyPlayer builder (PF disparity)

    My fix is at the bottom but first I want to point out the glaring issue with PF compared to other positions.

    Now my PF build is 6'7 min weight and gets 94 layups and dunks, 95 mid, 90 three, HoF quick first step, bullet passer, dimer, needle threader, 95 perimeter, good rebounding and block, and the badge spread is 8/24/24/18. That's a demon.

    If I try to make the same exact build at SF (6'7, min weight). Here is what I sacrifice: Dunks stay at 95 but my layup drops to 70. Mid stays at 95 and three stays at 90. I lose quick first step HoF (but have a higher speed with ball/speed/accel), and I keep HoF dimer, bullet passer, needle threader. On defense I still have 95 perimeter and good block but my rebounding suffers. My badge spread would be 8/24/25/11.

    My fix: I think the future of the builder is choosing your physicals first, creating your build where attributes and badges only depend on physicals and then you pick your position last. There are 7'3 guys in the NBA who prefer to be at the 4. There are 6'5 guys playing the 5. I think it's a bit archaic to force us into a position off rip if the disparity is so great between builds with the same exact physicals just because they chose a different position.
