    Park 3v3

    PLATFORMS: XB1/PS4, one bracket per console, 16 max per bracket

    TIME: 4 PM ET on May 23, 2020, completed in one day

    ENTRY: $10 per team

    PRIZE:

    • $150 for champions, $50 for runner-ups
    • Larry O'Brien trophy in user flair for champions

    RULES:

    • Best of 3 series per round. The higher seed in the bracket starts with the ball, alternate for every game after, run out the clock to switch possession if needed.
    • Same lineup must be used for all games.
    • Boosts, mascots, and Legend accounts are allowed.

    MATCHMAKING:

    • One team's captain joins a Neighborhood with an empty court. That captain then invites the other team's captain to the same Neighborhood. Remaining players join their captain.
    • At the end of each game, leave the court immediately to prevent a new game from starting with someone else in the 'Got Next' spots.
    • Do NOT use the subway to switch servers.

    Play Now

    PLATFORMS: Nintendo Switch, 8 players required

    TIME: 4 PM ET on May 23, 2020, completed in one day

    ENTRY: $5

    PRIZE:

    SETTINGS:

    • Superstar difficulty, 5 minute quarters

    TEAMS:

    • All teams allowed (including All-Star/All-Time)
    • Mirror matches allowed

    For the Park tournament, only the team captain signs up. Captains, you are responsible for communicating information to the rest of your team!

    Checking In and Playing

    The bracket will be randomly generated and players will be notified of their matchup.

    IMPORTANT: Please read through the Walkthrough on the page where you sign up for information on checking in and playing your matches! This is a one day event so check in times are strict. Failure to check in and be ready to play results in an automatic forfeit.

    Reporting Scores and Disputes

    After each round, both players report the result to the site; if discrepancies occur, players will need to provide photo or video evidence. GamerSaloon will decide who wins based on the evidence provided. Full tournament rules can be found on the page where you sign up.

    For the Park tournament, report your best of 3 series score (2-0 or 2-1).

    Stream Promotion

    If you'd like to stream your match and share it to Reddit, we will make exceptions to our Promotion Guidelines as long as you let us know in modmail beforehand.

    So I just finished a Rec game where we had this guy who was literally the worst possible player. He constantly demanded the ball (you know the drill) and sometimes the point guard would be nice and let him have it. Unfortunately the guy sucked, he finished like 2/11 with four turnovers and didn't even play defense. It wasn't much of an issue because we were up big the whole time, but on the very last possession I noticed he was hanging on to a D-, so I was like "no way he grades out right?" Well he left his guy open in the corner (again) and he drained a three to cause that guy to grade out of like a 20 point win. I guess there might be some justice in 2k after all.

    Never have I come across a community so content on being scum of the earth. I can't even get a proper ref team without 1,2 or 3 idiots wanting to hog every possession and just chuck it whenever they get a chance. You can see the standard set by the content creators. If you're not posting exploits or 10 min videos to collect ad revenue, more than likely nobody watches. This community is absolutely sad, 2k only adds to it with how well they promote classism in the game. Want to get a decent Park game? Forget about it. And what the hell is the deal with 70 overalls wanting to play in the park/rec? It's absolutely pointless IMO, you're nothing but deadweight on the team. Albeit there are a lot of individuals able to hold their own with that overall, but I just don't see the point. It's more plausible to grind badges and then go in the park/rec. I really hope this community can manage to clean up its act in the long run, but seeing who the 2k community caters to- it's wishful thinking. Sad that the gameplay experience differs from individual playing alone.This game needs a complete overhaul to the dynamics that allow the breeding grounds for pure ignorance that looms over it.

    I HATE contracts. How do you offline players manage them?

    I really wish they would take Contracts out of this game like Madden did. They drive me crazy. How do you guys manage them so you have enough for the guys you want to play to complete the Challenges and other offline modes?

    As a MyLeague Player, 2K Fix your Ratings.

    Introduction

    I primarily play 2K just for MyLeague, I don't touch MyCareer and even thinking about MyPark makes me shudder. I like to simulate my own league. I make my own draft prospects with custom cyberfaces and then make sure 2k's roster is as accurate as possible. As a result, I've spent an embarrassing amount of time just editing player's ratings in attempts to get everything just right, and I've learned quite a bit.

    My Gripes

    Take someone like James Harden for example, he has a driving layup rating of **98** and a three-point rating of **84** and fair enough, Harden is an all-league finisher and among the best shooters. However, since these ratings are weighted too strong, every simulation of MyLeague using the default rosters has Harden averaging damn near 70% True Shooting as he ends up authoring splits of like 52/44/89. In reality, Harden averaged splits of 43/35/86 on something closer to 62% True Shooting. I don't care who you are, if you're attempting 12-threes a game and if you don't have Steph Curry levels of shooting, it's going to be really hard to approximate 40% shooting, but 2K seemingly thinks (or neglects to think) that if you have a 3 point rating of above 85, you're just going bomb 3s at a 40%+ clip regardless of the amount of attempts you take.

    A (Possible) Solution

    As 2K shares ratings across game-modes it'd be destructive if the developers just randomly changed the weighting of these, but something like differently tuned ratings for game modes that involve simulation, like MyLeague or MyGM would be a welcome change.

    I don't have the exact numbers on how each point in a given attribute affects the statistical outcome of a shot, so I can't really give exact pointers on how to do such a thing, but something has to be changed.

    It is ridiculous that I have to lower Harden's 3-point shot to a 77, reduce his mid-range, close shot and driving layup all to the mid-60s, and only then will his efficiency approximate that of a real-life James Harden. Only now he's a 90 overall "Slashing Playmaker", which isn't how I'd describe Harden.

    Inside Center Frustration

    For 2K21 they need to remove badges like intimidator and pogo stick. The game was fine long before it was added. I think all inside centers will agree that it's trash missing easy layups ESPECIALLY when you have a 95 standing dunk with HOF contact finisher. It's ridiculous that people miss so much just because a guy puts his hands up lol wth is that supposed to do? Do better 2K.

    Hi,

    I've contacted Nintendo Support exactly 7 times because of this bug in FIFA 18 in the last couple years and never got a single answer, after some time I just accepted it and forgot about it, but yesterday I picked up NBA 2K20 and the same happens in this game:

    At this point I don't care about FIFA 18 any more, but I'd like to play my recently purchased 2K20. Is there any way to fix this?
