My expansion team, the Seattle Olympians. The capital of Washington is Olympia, plus Zeus being the god of the skies goes well with Seattle’s reputation as a rainy, stormy place. Colors: sky blue, lightning bolt yellow, and thundercloud grey. I can upload more if anybody’s interested. Thanks!

Being a C in 2k20 is the most thankless job

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 02:02 PM PST

So as I center I'm expected to

    1) defend the rim 2) get every rebound, offensive and defensive 3) finish every last second drop off I'm blessed with after dribble god can't find a shot for 22 seconds 4) help you defend your man on the screen, while you never switch onto mine 5) hit you in perfect stride when you leak out because sold me as soon as the shot went up 6) block every dunk because you don't know how to stop baseline cheese

Oh and I suck if I

    7) Can't hit a 3 because I need to "Space the floor"

Listen guards, us big guys appreciate the stick skill it takes to do your job well, just understand that there is no glory when it comes to being a big man in Park, say thanks once in a while and stop ur bitchin.

Snatch Blocks are easily the best animations 2K has added in years.

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 10:16 PM PST

This is the first time I’ve gotten to a 99 overall in my many years of 2k.

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 01:48 PM PST

I've had my share of 20+ rebound games, a handful of 30+, but never have i had 40+ in a game

    Playing without intimidator

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 06:22 PM PST

Playing people without intimidator is so much more fun and realistic for slashers and big men. You can actually dunk when you're supposed to and don't miss stupid ass layups. Idk why this badge was even made.

What do squads of 5 gain from going into the rec and beating up on 5 randoms?

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 06:01 PM PST

Former rec player turned competitive Pro-Am player here. I don't understand the appeal of playing rec with a squad of 5 and beating up on randoms. It is a waste of everyone's time and it doesn't make you better at the game. If you're beating up on randoms you aren't improving your game, and if you're one of the randoms getting beat up on you're likely just getting frustrated with the game and won't have any desire or drive to get better.

It is ridiculously easy to maintain a 90 win percentage or higher in the rec if you're playing with a squad of 5. What's funny is a lot of the guys with high rec win percentages would struggle to stay above .500 in regular pro am and it'd be way lower against competitive Pro-Am teams.

If you're one of those people who likes to go into the rec with your squad of 5 friends and perfectly curated lineups and stomp on randoms with shitty builds, maybe consider trying Pro-Am. I stopped playing rec in January of 2k19 and haven't walked back in there since and I've never felt better at 2K. Trust me, your inflated win percentage from playing against people who have no business being in the rec center in the first place is not impressing anyone. Do yourself a favor and improve your game by going into Pro-Am. Stop being content with winning games against non-competitive teams in the rec. That should be your New Year's resolution for 2020.
