Any info on SG's not dunking on alley oops?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 03:55 PM PST

I am aware of plenty of posts on this matter. But has anyone actually received any feedback from 2K on this?

It appears to have been mentioned in most, if not all 10 volumes of feedback sent to 2k. https://www.reddit.com/r/NBA2k/comments/dy5l9l/rnba2k_2k20_feedback_2k21_wishlist_vol_10_sent_to/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x

FYI: 6'5" SG Offensive threat, over 80 dunk, over 95" vertical. Gets head above rim but can only layup alley oops. Alley oop pro package equipped.

A Bitter Breakdown of MyTeam Domination All-Time Teams

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 10:26 PM PST

So I've done MyTeam for the past few NBA2K games, and it's back to the hardest tier in domination. After much grinding, frustration, and getting grab blocked by Shaq a trillion times, I managed to beat it. I couldn't let the all time Lakers or Celtics get the last laugh, and I beat 2K at it's own cheese. As someone who isn't much of an online player, or very good at all, here is my breakdown on how you too can be both not good and claim your PD at the end. I mostly play 2K single player, and I just like having cool cards and I'm not concerned with breaking the game or anyone's controls. Leave the cheese in Rec.

    The Setup

I usually use a coach with pace and space or defense, depending on the team. If your team can't score, pace and space is a good mix of shooting and being tolerable on defense. Defense is great against teams that skull fuck you on rebounds or dunks. Make sure your team actually fits the scheme, because their brains fall out of their head if they don't fit (cough Jamal Crawford cough).

Your team simply needs to be tall. Your point guard can be short, but he needs to be exceptional at one or two things to qualify. If he is a great slasher and passer (like Amethyst Nick Van Exel at 6 feet), he can work. But if he is only average at everything, and is 6'1", tough luck shithead. Your team essentially needs to be all Ruby or higher to hang with the big boys, and they are big indeed. Get a good tall center, so Ben Wallace as your starter is gonna be rough sledding. You need height for defense and rebounding, the 2 main keys to winning.

I ran with mostly Amethysts and some diamonds I got from solo triple threat, but I wont go into depth with what I used. Go with what is comfortable, and who can green shots.

    The Teams

To get 3 stars against these teams, you need 900 MT a game on Superstar difficulty, which is a 1.50 multiplier. The standards still apply of at least 5 threes SHOT (not made) and 10 free throws SHOT (again not made) to get those bonuses, which is essentially a must. But some teams are easier than others to attain these goals. Ill break them down in 3 categories:

Shit teams, Decent teams, and God teams.

    Shit teams

These teams are still good, not to be confused. They can and WILL run the score up on you in a hurry, so don't take it easy just because they're in this category. But compared to other teams, these are the little brothers. So these teams are usually the expansion teams or otherwise weak teams historically, so it would be the Grizzlies, Timberwolves, Hornets, and Cavaliers. Don't let the Galaxy Opal Lebron scare you, this team is bad. The biggest thing is to NEVER LET UP. Dunk on Muggsy Bogues for the 12th time, get that MT baby! The key is to sweat on these teams just as much you would the other teams. Other teams may include the Wizards, Hawks, Pelicans, Clippers, and Pacers (surprisingly). They'll usually have one or two good players that are PD or higher, but they are manageable.

The best way to contain teams like the Cavaliers is to set a power forward on Lebron, and gobble up rebounds. Don't ease up on Kevin Love though, cuz shooters DO NOT MISS ON SUPERSTAR. THEY SIMPLY DO NOT. So go in your defensive settings, and set to Crash the Boards. These teams are usually lacking in bigs that can properly box you out. Run it in transition, but be careful. The transition D by some of these guys are like Game 7 Lebron of the 2016 finals on your ass. Tread Carefully, but easily.

    Decent Teams

These are the meat and bones of this tier, and they usually will have 2-3 PD starters. These teams are the Thunder, Kings, Blazers, Knicks, Suns, Pistons, Nuggets, Mavericks, and Nets. The toughest of the group is usually the Thunder, Kings, and Pistons. They have consistency on their bench, and usually have that one dude that is just unstoppable. KD on the Thunder will get his 20, Chris Webber on the Kings will get his double double. The best thing to do is to minimize what everyone else does, because the big kids will catch fire no matter what. Play tight against the shooters, and always have a tall center to anchor the post. Set the bigs to gap in the defensive settings to be ready for Gary Payton or Joe Dumars when they wanna put their nuts on your chin with a dunk. Don't let the team do well, and get as many easy buckets as possible.

    God Teams

These rat bastards. The Celtics, Bulls, Warriors, Rockets, Lakers, Bucks, 76ers, and Spurs. They all have a Galaxy Opal, or 5 PD's, or if you're the Lakers, BOTH. This is where the bitterness is at. Most of these teams have one of these guys; GO Kareem, GO Michael Jordan, GO Magic, PD Wilt, PD Tim Duncan. If you're ready to play against the best ever in NBA history, at their best, on the second highest difficulty in the game, good luck. This is why you need tall dudes. Magic will DESTROY any PG hes with on offense or defense. Kareem will get rebounds through 4 guys, consistently. MJ can dunk through your characters' arms.

The key is a bit different than with the decent teams. As opposed to stopping the team around the good guys, you need to sell out everyone to stop the one guy. If they have the ball, pull your center closer to stop their ass. Shooters hate having 6'10" PFs in their face. The pgs aren't nearly a problem if they aren't shooting. But bail out everyone in order to stop Giannis or Shaq. You CANNOT depend on one guy to stop the GO guys. Good luck.

The Lakers are by FAR the toughest team. Good luck getting boards against a team will Shaq, Kareem, Wilt, Paul Gasol, and George Mikan. They have Kobe BEAN Bryant, Jerry West WHO NEVER FUCKING MISSES EVER, and GO Magic. Firstly, get a center above 7 foot. Anything less won't cut it. These guys are DEMONS are rebounding, and they'll end with 50 team boards by the end total. Since Magic can't shoot, I just let my pg guard someone else, and sit in the paint when Magic wants to back someone down from the 3 point line. Sitting in the paint and being a bitch is the way to the promise land. Its shameful, but sitting low with some quality bigs is the winning formula. Also, you can't make a shot over Magic, ever, PERIOD. Save yourself the trouble.

    The Strategy

Now we know where teams lie at, how to beat the teams consistently. First, in the defense settings, set it to 'tight' for on ball and off ball. Unless its a dribble god like Kyrie, Jason Williams, or Curry, go with tight for shooters. For bigs, go with 'gap'. Some of them are shooters, like Kevin Love or Marc Gasol, but the key is to let your bigs be big. Be a puss, and block anyone driving in. Don't switch on screens when possible, and NEVER REACH IN. It's essentially a guaranteed reach-in, and not even Gary Payton can steal off of these CPU's. Don't even reach on bigs, it just straight up won't work.

Shooting is spotty, to say the least. Deep shots and contested shots almost never go in, so save yourself the headache. If its open, by all means take it, but these are some good as teams, and they close in QUICK. Decide to shoot it immediately. Just huck it, because if you can't decide the defenders will decide for you. I tried the pick and roll 3 point cheese like I saw in some videos, but that shit don't work at all unless you got a fast as release and good release point. If you have shooting bigs, they are gonna have their work cut out for them. Bigs are slow to contest perimeter shots, so let em flyyyyyy. However, unless it's WIDE wide open, it will brick, period. This game is absolutes. When it's you shooting or on offense, its either wide open or a brick. No close shots, no full white bar makes. Brick or Make.

You won't be able to drop anyone with dribble moves, but they will stumble. It hardly makes a difference, however, cuz they recover just about instantly. Post moves are hard to do, especially against minimum diamond brick house centers. Unless its a greenlight fade, or a good pump fake, the posts don't bite. They sniff that shit out with a quickness. So how do you score?

    Transition.

Don't even try transition threes unless it's a catch and shoot opportunity. It'll save some heartache and some what if moments. Run up the score, so the fourth quarter is the deep bench folks, and where you can catch up on any MT you may be missing. It's also perfect for getting those last few free throw attempts out as well.

    Conclusion

    Fuck the All-Time Lakers.

I wrote this in frustration at the grind of domination, but at least it wasn't nearly as bad as last years. Again, I'm not very good (so yes mad cuz bad) but this is what I figured worked, and I'd pass it on.

    Good luck, you pyschos.

How to get squads outta the REC

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 11:01 PM PST

When I've got my whole squad we go to the Pro-Am. If we have less we play REC. We aren't that good, I'm an offense threat who can't shoot very well so who cares. We don't see the point in going to the Pro-Am because the REP rewards are basically the same and you run into straight sweaties. So I think if 2k gave big rewards for Pro-Am it would help. Yah or nah?

NBA2k20 is so trash pls read

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 02:31 PM PST

game is so trash. it might be more realistic but the game is way more stressful than fun. aren't games supposed to be fun? even if you win the game makes you feel like shit after

as an example. you might get PISSED off, when your computer watches the defender blow by you and your computer just watches them go for the open lane dunk or layup without any help

you might get PISSED OFF when the game randomly glitches and you can't choose the exact player you need to defend [ THIS HAS BEEN FOR 3 years now NBA2k FIX THIS @#$@#$]

you might get pissed off if you do a bad pass and somehow the opponent player catches the ball without even looking at it like WTF

you might get PISSED OFF when you are TIER 3 warriors and it seems like no one can carry the team because drayman green can't shoot and all the players are really slow motion exception poole

you might get pissed off when your unlike in 2k19 when your computer actually helps you play some defense now they just go "oh it's not my job that's your job" LIKE this is team ball not 1 on 1 street ball

you might get PISSED OFF that they chose to take out the cross over combo right stick instead now you do slow motion crossovers like wtf why would i want to even do that

you might get PISSED OFF that if your connection on the internet fails or the NBA2k servers are down it's an automatic loss like SSKDLFJLSKDFJ give us sometime to at least try to rejoin the game

you might get PISSED OFF that you could hit a Green bar and still miss

you might get PISSED OFF as a tier 3 team playing a tier 1 team it's still possible to win but pretty much you have to play a perfect game. I wish it lets you pick whatever team you want again or let you have a chance to change team to make it fair

you might get PISSED OFF sometimes you pump fake and it shoots

you might get PISSED OFF that sometimes you pressed pass but it still shoots

get it together NBA2k! We love your game but 2k19 was the perfect balance of realistic and team ball now you have some loser game that we just play just because the new players are here.

    OVERALL

It seems that they just had an assignment made a few shitty changes and turned it in.

a game is supposed to be fun, 2k19 was fun and really about team basketball now 2k20 is stressful and i get pissed off every game

-currently in NBA development league in 2k20 was hall of fame 2k17, 2k18, 2k19
