I love Rec but i hate most of the people who play it Posted: 21 Oct 2020 11:37 PM PDT I try to squeeze in games and relax while i have some free time and I end up so frustrated because these 1 or 2 92s on my team just end up hogging the ball the whole game while our big man just keeps feeding it to them. We'll be twenty points down and they will still keep going for shots without passing the ball. My last game i ended up with zero stats because i never got the ball once. Not a single time. And then they start trash talking us talking about how they're carrying even though they never gave us a chance in the first place. [link] [comments]

NBA 2K21 Next-Gen MyPLAYER Builder Posted: 21 Oct 2020 07:09 AM PDT

Posted: 21 Oct 2020 10:35 PM PDT First of all it's not clickbait if I'm not getting paid so don't take my title seriously lol. But there were some pretty important changes (like intimidator) in the Courtside Report that weren't explicitly stated and I don't see them being discussed so I wanted to put them out here. 7 Lateral quickness, Post Moves, Post Fade, and Post Hooks attribute ratings are gone. It's hard to tell what will determine your lateral quickness rating in next gen. Just acceleration? Speed and acceleration? Both those plus permiter defense rating? Will clamps increase lateral quickness like it currently does? Hopefully we get answers. The three post attributes were likely combined into one attribute called post control, meaning it should be a bit easier to make a versatile post scorer this year. But it's possible that mid range will also affect your post fades since fade ace (which looks modeled after Kobe) is still a shooting badge. Speaking of post badges... 6 Post Spin and Dream Shake are now finishing badges instead of playmaking.Since post moves is no longer a playmaking attribute, you don't have to spend much in playmaking anymore to be an effective post scorer. However you'll have to use up precious finishing badges so bigs with few finishing badges will have to choose between slashing and post scoring. 5 Intimidator may be limited to big men this year.If you look at the MyPLAYER Builder video https://youtu.be/M_1mrje7rXs all of the badges are in the same order as current gen except for the new ones inserted. This means intimidator should be between interceptor and off ball pest. Instead, there's a blank spot. We don't know what this means, but if I had to guess, it's still in the game, but can only be used by big men. If it was removed altogether then the spot wouldn't be there and they would have mentioned it with the removed badges. Personally I'd prefer it removed altogether, but with so many additional offensive badges, it will be interesting to see what tools the defense gets to counter. 4 AI pick and roll defense might still be trash.I realize the blog claims the opposite and specifically states "Overhauled the Hedge defensive system for better screen positioning and angle targeting." However watch the clip that was posted and explain to me wtf Jae Crowder is doing? https://youtu.be/fqXyELvgcgo 3 Badges are locked behind attribute upgrades.I'm not referring to badge upgrade points. I'm talking about actual badges. For example, you can have max mid range and three pointer, but you cannot get the ice in veins badge until you upgrade your free throw rating. This is a massive change as it cuts down on people using badges to supplement their weaknesses. No more big men with 30 ball handle and gold unpluckable. No more guards throwing on Rim Protector to get blocks with their 29 rating. No more gold corner specialist with a 50 three point rating. 2 Attribute caps appear to be very similar to current gen.Hopefully I explain this clearly so that there's no confusion. If you look at the screenshot of a 6'8, 225lb, 85" wingspan build https://www.reddit.com/r/NBA2k/comments/jfernp/body_settings_page_of_the_new_myplayer_builder/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf and compare that to the best possible stats you can get with the same physicals in current gen, they line up pretty well. The caps that you see in the above photo are essentially the same caps as if you were making a pure build in current gen. Compare the stats below from the screenshot of the next gen caps and the best possible caps for using the same vitals in current gen. Next gen screenshot vs Current gen max for 6'8, 225lbs, 85" wingspan Close shot 95 vs 95 Driving layup 92 vs 88 Driving dunk 94 vs 94 Standing dunk 95 vs 94 Post control 85 vs 86 (post moves) Post hook N/A vs 95 Mid range 90 vs 89 Three point 87 vs 88 Free throw 94 vs 93 Post Fade N/A vs 95 Pass accuracy 92 vs 87 Ball handle 78 vs 78 Speed with ball 77 vs 81 (calculated) Post Moves 85 (post control) vs 86 Interior Defense 87 vs 78 Perimeter Defense 86 vs 84 Lateral quickness N/A vs 84 Steal 87 vs 84 Block 90 vs 85 Offensive Rebound 89 vs 86 Defensive Rebound 93 vs 88 Speed 81 vs 82 Acceleration 78 vs 80 Strength 86 vs 82 Vertical 88 vs 89 Obviously there are some differences and we won't know the full extent until it comes out, but in general if you want to get an idea for your attribute caps you can use the current builder and use the pure charts. You know that a 6'10 build won't have 95 ball handling and three pointer but if you make a 6'10 with the pure yellow chart and then the pure green, you can probably get an idea of what the maxes will be. To find out the max physicals, use the defense chart as each pie has different physical caps. Which leads to #1 1 Shooting builds just got a MAJOR buff. One of the biggest drawbacks to making a pure or partial green pie chart was the major hit that your physicals took. That's gone now. Sharps and stretches no longer have to be slow and unathletic as your physicals aren't tied to pie chart anymore. Previously a red/green wouldn't be as good of a defender as a red/yellow or red/blue because of the lack of speed and vertical but that's no longer the case. Another hidden buff is the total badge points for sharps. For example, shooting/Defending centers usually have around 45 badge upgrades total while other big man builds could easily get to the mid 50s. Now you can add shooting to your build without sacrificing total badge points. In addition, post fade is no longer a shooting attribute. Red/green bigs used to have to max 4 different categories just to get 17 shooting badges. Now by maxing only 3 categories, you can get up to 30. And that's with no quick draw. There's very little incentive to make a shooting big on current gen, but there's practically no excuse not to on next gen. Get ready for 5 out boys. Shooting builds are back. [link] [comments]

As a Current Gen Player This Year… I’m Pissed Posted: 21 Oct 2020 09:17 PM PDT For all my fellow current gen players who aren't gonna be able to play next gen for whatever reason, the pain is tough. 2k21 imo is a worse version of 2k20 as of right now. The new system looks refreshing and grabbed my attention. They brought back two take over system by being able to choose an aspect on each takeover. You have a lot more freedom to make your player which is what I wanted (could be either really good or really bad though) NEW HAIRSTYLES (the one in the video was new). Multiple parks… i'm gonna be in my feels tonight. Marvins Room is ready. [link] [comments]
Not even excited for the new player builder to be honest Posted: 21 Oct 2020 09:26 AM PDT Cuz no matter how much depth they add to creating a player 90% of yall just gonna copy other people's builds. It don't matter how many possible builds it is when you simple kids just gonna spam 2 or 3 of em 😪 [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Oct 2020 07:52 PM PDT i swear every year i have an issue with 2K 🤦🏾♂️ When i go into the NBA store, it says everything is locked and that the store is unavailable and to try again later. It's been happening to me since release, does anyone know how to fix this??? [link] [comments]

Why won't 2k make an offline mycareer option? Posted: 21 Oct 2020 12:40 PM PDT I have no interest in and never play online and there are plenty of others like me. We should be able to make goat level players with no attribute caps and still enjoy the mycareer story and rpg elements. People would still pay for VC to make the grind, so I dont want to hear excuses about money. I used to buy VC back when mycareer was offline in earlier editions. [link] [comments]
