NBA 2K16 where fakes and footwork actually worked

Been playing 2k for a decade. 99.9% sure this is the first time I’ve completed a full 82 game season.

Elites running zone in 92 & under rec

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 09:37 PM PDT

I get it you can't compete with other elites in pro am cause you're a pussy. That's why you gotta resort to virgin shit like this. But at least feel some shame and not flop against players who just got the game.

Physical contact in 2K20 is awful and needs to be refined

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 05:44 PM PDT

This isn't a new issue but can we please get the forced unnatural contact removed from the game???

There are times where you catch the ball in a triple threat situation and a defender will literally run into you, knock you backwards and force you to start a dribble. How is that not a foul? It's not just that it's every body to body animation. They're broken in every aspect of the game but you feel it the most with any dribbling or inside scoring. Whether it be attacking on a drive and having players release their layup nowhere near the rim which started in 2k19 or the advanced gathers being completely broken. Hop steps do not work properly so you double hop which is a travel unless you're using the OP long athlete package. Jamal Crawford who has had one of the best layup packages since being introduced years ago is completely useless because they do not trigger unless the paint is wide open. Eurosteps being completely useless because you can't separate from defenders and spin layups that usually will get blocked. Post play does not work properly because players can block your shot with everything from their hand to their ass. Don't even get me started on needing hall of fame slithery finisher to negate that dumb animation where it should be a dunk in a wide open lane but instead the defender runs into your back and it forces that stupid ass contact layup. You make the layup from that animation 99 out of 100 times but how a defender initiated contact by running into the shooter from behind and no foul is called is beyond me. Fix that shit or completely remove the animation.

The on ball defending has needed a major upgrade for a long time and its good to see 2K has taken steps to try and rectify an otherwise poor aspect of the game but this isn't the 90s and hand checking is illegal so it needs to be removed from the game. It's frustrating as hell to have a mismatch of a big guarding a point guard with elite ball handling and the point guard just can't get the separation needed to get a open shot without over dribbling or going side to side. I understand a lot people will say "get good" or "stop left right cheesing" but let's be honest for a minute... If the dribble moves weren't so lack luster and there was any other way for ball handlers to shake off a defender wouldn't people do that rather than go side to side???

Generic list of things we hate in 2k20.

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 08:16 PM PDT

    1. Passing to a guy on the corner, just so he runs behind the opponent and let's them steal the ball.
    2. Contract Cards (75% of all mt is spent buying contracts)
    3. That one animation where instead of shooting a mid range shot they try to lay it up 20 feet away
    4. 60 overall John Davis filling up the bench
    5. Anderson Murray
    6. MyCareer Glitch where you don't get subbed out
    7. If you skip other people's performances in the 3Pt contest, they will all get 28+ points
    8. When the inbounder forgets how to pick up a ball
    9. Bumping in to someone when bringing the ball up and turning the ball over
    10. "Dribble Gods"going 2-36 that don't pass the ball to you after you go 0-1

Wonder If He Has Good Ball-Handling?

Mike Wang, ‪Can you be more descriptive with things like badges , attribute upgrades etc. It’s so ridiculous we need to get answers from Reddit or Twitter ‬

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 01:23 PM PDT

Tell us what we're doing when we upgrade. Give us some numbers or percentages.

Explain badges thoroughly. 2k has NBA2k lab doing their work for them.

I hate having to scroll through twitter feeds looking for answers that should already be in the game.

To all the 5 man squads that run Rec instead of Proam...

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 08:14 PM PDT

If you go into the Rec as a 99 overall team, run a 2-3 right away, an offensive set, and cherry pick your hearts out you are trash. As someone who has an 85+ win percentage in Proam I can tell you I've never seen a squad in the Rec that I think could hand with and halfway decent Proam team. So if you do these things and feel like you're great for beating up on randoms in Rec, you're not.

And yes, I did just play three 5-man zone squads IN A ROW haha.

I'd like to see them make shorter MyPlayers more viable

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 09:44 PM PDT

It seems like there's really no point to go below 6'2. The stats you gain are minimal compared to what you lose. I'd like to see the shorter players become viable in online modes. They could make them considerably quicker than everyone else and/or they could easily steal the ball and move around the court/dodge picks. Just some ideas.
