Tips for rookies new to 2K20

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 07:36 PM PST

These are just my opinions, please dont hate! These tips and tricks are what i did to get to 90ovr in 1 month with buying no vc! Tip 1. Please for gods sake do not play Park,Rec, or ProAM or even Cages Until You hit around 85-90 It is a really bad experience if your under 80. Tip 2. Grind MyCareer NBA Games and Grind MyPlayer Nation to get vc easily! Tip 3. Play the prelude and when u get drafted you'll get extra VC for playing story/prelude. Thats it for now i'll post more tips if i remember (if any rookies need to grind on ps4 for anything just DM me on reddit thanks!)

A look at Centers in 2K20

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 01:38 PM PST

I played a rec game today with my PF build which is 6'9. I had to play the 5 against 2 7'3 centers, so I was 6'9 at the 5 and we had a sharpshooter SF playing the 4. We got destroyed because that sharp and I couldn't outrebound 2 7'3 monsters. I was curious about what the centers in the NBA looked like. I looked at the height of all starting centers in the NBA. There are 10 starting Centers in 7'0 or taller, 11 if you include Porzingis. There are THREE starting Centers over 7'0 (Porzingis, Gobert, and Poeltl) that's the entire list. Here's the full list of the 11 Centers 7'0 and taller

    Embiid (7'0)

    Gobert (7'1)

    Whiteside (7'0)

    Robinson (7'0)

    Yusuf Nurkic (7'0)

    Brook Lopez (7'0)

    Alex Len (7'0)

    Cody Zeller (7'0)

    JaVale McGee (7'0)

    Kristaps Porzingis (7'3)

    Jakob Poeltl (7'1)

Every other starting Center in the NBA is under 7'0, 1 starter is over 7'1 in the entire NBA, and he plays the 4. Why can you make a 7'3 center that can run the floor!?

So if you make a 7'3 Center with a max weight of 290 pounds, before you get to 95 and before you do your Gatorade weekly drills you get 46 speed and 37 acceleration with 34 lateral quickness. So let's say you get that build to 99 and do your Gatorade drills you now have 54 speed and 45 acceleration with 38 lateral quickness. The closest comparison to an NBA player you can get with this build model is Boban Marjanovic, who is 7'4 290 pounds. He has 25 speed, 25 acceleration, and 35 lateral quickness. That's what being that big should mean, you cannot move because that's what it actually means for players that big. That 7'3 center build you can make is faster than Steven Adams while being 4 inches taller and 25 pounds heavier, You have just 4 less speed and higher acceleration that Myles Turner while being 4 inches taller and 40 pounds heavier, and you have higher speed and acceleration than Gobert while being 2 inches taller and 45 pounds heavier. On top of being able to run the floor with ease, and being able to be the tallest you can be in the game, and weighing the most you can in the game. If you wax out your wingspan you will have a wingspan that is 4 inches less than Manute Bol the largest in NBA history. Manute Bol was 7'7. This player model breaks the game, it did last year and does again this year. If you are making a big and aren't interested in making him a shooter what is the downside to being 7'3?

It is absolutely ridiculous that squads STILL can’t travel through the subway together without being able to play. This should be a huge issue for 2k, but it remains broken

    Posted: 09 Jan 2020 01:32 AM PST

In case you don't know what I'm talking about:

If a squad goes to a different lobby together through the subway, they will not be able to play in the park. If they hop on the got next spots with the other side being full and ready to play, the game will not start.

As a result, squads have to travel through the spin to go to different parks, which takes more time. It's ridiculous that this isn't on the top of 2k's "to fix" list

How hard is it to hold 99.9?

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 04:11 PM PST

Hi, Im getting back into 2k and want to make a 12/17/1/20 shooting glock center with 6'11 height. This would give me either a 65 or 66 driving dunk at 85 depending on the weight I put on. Now I know that there are several dunk packages that require a 70 driving dunk which would only be reachable at 99.9 with a base 65 driving dunk.

Is it realistic or hard to hold 99.9 once you reach it? I assume the animations are lost if you lose it.

The problem with the other route is that I have to drop so much weight to retain 66 driving dunk that I would lose out on 6 interior defense.
