Just a reminder that Josh Jackson, who has spent the entire season in the G-league, was selected to be the Under Armour prelude representative...

Anyone have any idea why they make shoes all red like this? They all look exactly the same when you’re playing so what’s the point?

    2-3 Zone in Rec, Why?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 01:44 PM PST

Let me start off by saying I am 100% perfectly fine with squads running Rec. Maybe you have 4 most times, maybe you wanna try out a new teammate(s), maybe you're trying to reach combine (still a puss move doing it by Rec but whatever). These are all good excuses to have a squad of 5 in Rec. The one thing thing I have yet to hear is a legitimate excuse for is why 5 people who play together all the time and have practiced countless amounts of hours together, go into a game FOR randoms and run A ZONE.

Its literally like a real basketball team going to a local park to play "pick up" and then running a zone against a team of complete randoms which consist of:

    1) construction worker who "played a little ball back in the day",

    2) an unemployed guy,

    3) A dad who has to stop playing by 7PM so he can make his kids dinner but wants to get some exercise in,

    4) #3's coworker who just overheard him talking about some pick up he plays but really sucks at basketball

    5) a 12 year old

This is who you're playing against. Its not competition or practice so stop lying to yourselves. We all just randomly decided to get to the court at the same time and wanted "downs" so we're forced to play together.

Again, Im not even advocating for these squads to run Pro Am. Run with a squad of all 97+ in Rec if you want but to run a ZONE in Rec is just lowdown and dirty.

I feel like people sleep on flexible release

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 11:47 PM PST

Hear me out, with green machine, hot zone hunter, range extender all hall of fame... Catch and shoot and maybe difficult shots where you want it... If you have points to spare why not consider flexible release?

It seems pretty much everyone swears against this badge because it basically rewards you for being trash but think about it. Your well-timed shots are mostly green ANYWAY with the earlier mentioned badges. Aren't the instances where you miss-time or lag the times where you could use a badge?

I also hear people saying the badge is only worth it if you shoot early/late (and not slightly early/late) and i'm sure noone really shoots late or early alot... If you look at 2klabs' data though... They clearly say if with a 75 3-point rating you're 10ms off with your timing which happens to everyone, you get an 11.5% boost to your make % which is a better return than any other badge besides hot zone hunter + it's a return you get when you need it most

Yes I know you need to time your shots but it's just ONE badge. Even if it's for the 3/10 shots that you miss-time it's probably still your best bet once you maxed the key badges (hot zone hunter, range extender and green machine)

    Thoughts?

Edit: even if you time 70% of your shots perfect and on the 30% that you miss-time you're only 10ms off (you're a god at this point) flexible release on hall of fame STILL boosts your overall make % by 3.5% long term. Not bad if you ask me. Not to mention if you're not a goat this badge can be a game changer

    This community is weird.

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 04:42 PM PST

It's impossible for me to find homies to play this game with regularly. I only play with randoms so my win% is trash, so people won't even give me a chance. I'm truly pretty good, high IQ, lights out shooter. But at this point I'm ready to put 2k down for good. This game ain't fun gettin clapped by squads w randoms who be sellin. And with how impossible it is to find people to play with, what's the point?

We get it you played hours with the same guys. You cant win consistently in pro am. But why bring your maxed badge main build against randoms? Why not bring a build you are working on.?

The weirdest thing about NBA 2k online players to me for years now, but I'll roll with it

    Posted: 04 Dec 2019 01:27 AM PST

Why are so many people completely against getting intentionally fouled at the end of games that they're winning? Free throws are easy points. This has won me so many games I have no business winning, but instead players are "I'm gonna pass the ball around aimlessly until I turn it over so I don't get fouled," or "I'm gonna take an awful shot with 20 seconds left on the shot clock so you cant foul me!!" It's weird.

To my Full-Time working 2K players

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 09:49 AM PST

Do you wish (like me) that 2K would have more events DURING the week instead of the weekend? This really only applies to people who have FT jobs/families when weekends are 95% of the time occupied. Just wondering if I'm the only one who wants events DURING the week since I'm not able to get on as consistently on the weekends.

Need some help with creating my build- 2K20 PS4

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 08:25 PM PST

Hi y'all ! It's my first post here, I needed some help with creating my build so I thought reddit might be the best place for it :)

Well, my first player is a 2-way slashing playmaker (he's 97 now), I'm starting to rack up VC and I wanted to create a different build.

I wanted to create a rebounding wing at the 3 (but a power forward really at 6'9"), my main focus on this build is to be able to do a little bit of everything, being the perfect role player on any given team. I upgraded my playmaking to get 6 upgrades so I could get gold quick first step and gold break starter. I didn't upgrade offensive rebound because I'll be playing either the pick and pop on offense or i'll sit in the corner. I also upgraded post fade this way i can create a shot for my team if needed. (shot clock running down for example)

Well here are the questions I wanted to ask y'all:

    - First of all, do y'all think this is a good build ? Or should I go with max offensive rebound instead of the playmaking ? I wanted to at least being able to put the ball on the floor sometimes, and to blow by centers if they're guarding me. And as I already said I'll be playing either pick and pop or corner on this build so I don't think I'd need high offensive rebound anyway.

    - As shown on the picture I have: 3 finishing, 13 shooting, 6 playmaking and 18 def/reb upgrades with 9 attributes upgrades remaining: I can either get --> 1 more finishing by upgrading standing dunk, 1 more shooting by upgrading free throw and 1 more def/reb by upgrading offensive rebound. What do y'all think should I upgrade between these 3 ?

Damn I spent like 3 hours on my PS4 last night trying to determine which way is the best to build my player...I really hope you guys can help me.

Thank you for reading this post.

Is worm badge really worth it?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 11:54 PM PST

When you're being boxed by a center you're almost never going to get the rebound anyway, so what's the point of this badge, should i even use it?

What’s with the awkward silence in NBA 2K Pregame/halftime shows?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 07:27 PM PST

Seriously I'm not the only one who thinks the pregame/halftime shows in 2K are corny and poorly written. I'm tired of watching the same stupid repeated scenes over and over. 2K needs to work on the little things like this to make it a better game.
