Can we get a bump animation turnover when predicting a behind the back move?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2019 05:52 PM PST

I'm out here blocking the side the person is going to do the behind the back move. I'm spamming the steal button and yet nothing happens except for the behind the back move to be completed while the dribbler goes no where.

This is my problem with this game. He’s WIDE OPEN and I can’t pass to him with 90+ passing because a center just leaps to the damn ball.

Is the AI designed so that it prioritizes attacking you on defense every time?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2019 09:18 PM PST

It's a weirds little thing I noticed. No matter if I'm using a defending build or one with no defense, I feel like they prioritize attacking you and forcing bad shots almost every possession. Another funny thing is that they like to run off ball screens on you no matter what position you are. I noticed that I get the same screen action when I'm on my center and also when on my guard.

NBA 2K20 Hood Control: How to Double Team and Guard the " Behind the Back Dribble " BRIEF

    Posted: 11 Dec 2019 11:30 AM PST

NBA 2k20 was released on September 5th 2019.

When a player has the ball in his hands he has 180 degrees to make moves.

The fastest way to meet an object is by going in a straight line.

When you double a player you and your teammate have to cut 180 degrees in half to guard a player.

    You have 90 and I have 90.

Guarding a player close leads to disaster based off animations, but you have to treat it like real life.

The Right Trigger is a deadly weapon that has to be treated with care. The Right Trigger gets your feet moving and the other 4,8.

RT R2 is Nitro that cant be used the whole race. You have to use Nitro when you need to, not when you want to. Nitro used wrong let's other drivers past you, because Nitro still burns Gas. Your car runs better Full.

If you know the behind the back is coming wait for it but play a good distance so you can tap nitro and get close to contest the shot.

If you see the drive, meet him at the shooting spot, dont let him drive you.

Regardless of style of play, the right balance can shut down the behind the back, with Heavy Practice.

    Sometimes, Less is More.

    Restarting The NBA. (Everyone Retires)

    Posted: 11 Dec 2019 09:33 PM PST

    Restarting The NBA Without Anyone

    /

I thought this would be a pretty cool idea to write about, I'm going to restart the NBA without a single real player. Every player in this league is fantasized.

    /

The roster I'm using for this only has sixty-overalls and such, so for the first year, I'm going to just sim past all of that. Considering some draft picks come out as eighty-overalls, we should have a few super-stars on our hands for next season.

    /

I've added a few expansion teams to make it even more competitive:

    /

    The Virginia Storm

    The Baltimore Barons

    The San Diego Surf

    The Las Vegas Aces

    /

    The Superstar Draft

Pretty much everyone in the first round of this draft was going to be better than ninety-percent of the league now. The top prospects were: Theo Hammonds, Colin Finley, and Everett Craig. Theo was a 6'7" Point Guard with a 7'0" wingspan. He was also clearly the best player in this draft so The San Diego Storm would end up taking him.

    /

Note: We're not going to be following what I do with my team, but rather, what other teams and players are doing. Whoever is playing the best is who we'll be talking about.

    /

    Team Pickups

The Mavericks picked up Stephen Logan.

The Pistons picked took Colin Finley.

    The Warriors got Dexter Lydon.

    The Raptors got Peter Walton.

    /

    Regular Season

Most teams had all the cap space in the world, and now that free agency had come around there were seventy overalls that we could pick up for our teams. Everyone went for Richy Curry, the highest overall in this batch of players. He got offers from over twenty-five teams around the league. He signed with the San Diego Storm on a four-year contract. Now that the league had some actual decent players in it we were good to go.

    /

    Early Statistical Feats + Standings:

Evan Garner was leading the league in scoring with 22.2 PPG.

Theo Hammonds tore his left meniscus and was out for 2-4 Months.

The Charlotte Hornets held the best record in the NBA, tied with the Los Angeles Lakers. (11-4)

Evan Garner was leading the race for Rookie Of The Year. (25th Pick)

The league-high for points in a single game was thirty-four. (P. Walton)

The league-high for threes made in a single game was nine. (B. Cage)

The league-high for rebounds grabbed in a single game was twenty-six. (L. Wall)

The league-high for steals in a single game was seven. (D. Battle)

The league-high for blocks in a single game was seven. (D. Lydon)

    /

The Orlando Magic had the best record in the east. (44-12)

The Dallas Mavericks had the best record in the west. (36-20).

The Hornets are now 29-24. (lol)

Dexter Lydon now leads the league in scoring with 22.2 PPG.

Evan Garner is nowhere to be found, not even in the top 50. (alrighty)

Dexter Lydon is leading the league in the race for MVP.

Do you still unlock traits when you hit certain Overalls like last year?

Like when you hit 90 Ovr, you could adjust your minutes or sway Free Agents, yada yada

    Build Help

    Posted: 12 Dec 2019 12:26 AM PST

Hey, this is my first post here,

Can anyone help me with this. This is my first 2K and I've got a Shooting GLock and its pretty good. Ive been using it to get VC, for my second build, I'm thinking of like a guard that easy to use and upgrade/get badges with. What do you recommend, i can dribble pretty well and stuff, I'm thinking either a Pure Sharp SG, Stretch Four PF or Perimeter Lockdown SG either Red/Green or Red/Yellow or Pure Playmaker or even a 2-Way Pass First Point. If you can recommend another build please do so.

    Thanks

Edit: If anyone could also tell me which one gets a lot of rep and is good too and any good rep methods to get SS1 or SS2 in about a month, i m Pro 2 rn and play with randoms, what should i do and how long would it take to rep up?

    Isn’t it crazy?

    Posted: 12 Dec 2019 12:23 AM PST

Isn't it crazy that this game is supposed to be a simulation of real life basketball and literally NO TEAM in the NBA plays basketball like how 2K has to be played in order to win....?
