    r/NBA2K Mod/Staff Applications - Summer 2020. Spots open on our Mod Teams, Evo Team, and Art Team!

    As NBA 2K21 gets closer, we're looking for a few extra hands! We have open spots for 5 teams:

    1. NBA2K Mod Team
    2. MyTEAM Mod Team
    3. NBA2kTeamUp Mod Team
    4. Evo Team (Power Users)
    5. Art Team

    If any of these interest you, please fill out this Google Form. As always, let me know if you have any questions!

    1) NBA2K Mod Team

    Responsibilities:

    r/NBA2K is looking for mods to enforce community Rules, manage posts, and manage users. Other responsibilities include engaging with users, participating in community events, and contributing to our 2K21 Feedback Threads.

    Qualifications:

    • Have excellent teamwork and communication skills.
    • Be comfortable speaking up and voicing your opinion.
    • Be knowledgeable about the most recent NBA 2K games.
    • Show willingness to learn new technology (Discord, app with modding tools, Toolbox browser extension) and be familiar with Reddit.
    • Stay reachable daily within reasonable hours and available at least 1 hr/day, 5 days/week for modding. We are flexible with your other priorities.

    2) MyTEAM Mod Team

    Responsibilities:

    r/MyTEAM is looking for mods to help shape the subreddit ahead of NBA 2K21. This is a brand new subreddit flexible to Rule changes and structure updates.

    Mods will be expected to enforce community Rules, manage posts, and manage users. Other responsibilities include engaging with users, participating in community events, and contributing to our 2K21 Feedback Threads.

    Qualifications:

    • Have excellent teamwork and communication skills.
    • Be comfortable speaking up and voicing your opinion.
    • Be knowledgeable about NBA 2K20 MyTEAM.
    • Show willingness to learn new technology (Discord, app with modding tools, Toolbox browser extension) and be familiar with Reddit.
    • Stay reachable daily within reasonable hours and available at least 1 hr/day, 5 days/week for modding. We are flexible with your other priorities.

    3) NBA2kTeamUp Mod Team

    Responsibilities:

    r/NBA2kTeamUp is looking for mods to help make it easier for everyone to find teammates. Our most recent survey showed only 50% of users are satisfied with the subreddit so we are looking to change that this year.

    Mods will be expected to enforce community Rules, manage posts, and manage users. Other responsibilities include engaging with users and participating in community events.

    Qualifications:

    • Have excellent teamwork and communication skills.
    • Be comfortable speaking up and voicing your opinion.
    • Show willingness to learn new technology (Discord, app with modding tools, Toolbox browser extension) and be familiar with Reddit.
    • Stay reachable within reasonable hours and available at least 20 min/day, 5 days/week for modding. We are flexible with your other priorities.

    4) Evo Team

    Responsibilities:

    Our Evo Team is looking for new power users to be a link between the mods and everyone else. Like everyone else, mods are subject to groupthink and fresh opinions from our power users are important to help us make our communities the best they can be.

    Responsibilities include providing suggestions to the Mod Teams, contributing to our 2K21 Feedback Threads, and writing new Wiki pages.

    Qualifications:

    • Have excellent teamwork and communication skills.
    • Be comfortable speaking up and voicing your opinion.
    • Have expertise with the most recent NBA 2K games.
    • Show willingness to learn new technology (Discord) and be familiar with Reddit.
    • Stay reachable within reasonable hours. We are flexible with your other priorities.

    5) Art Team

    Our Art Team is looking for someone talented in drawing to help with a one-time project for our upcoming r/NBA2K 10 year anniversary.

    Found a way to most accurately simulate the nba bubble in MyLeague for 2K on pc.

    It takes forever to set up but it's still pretty neat.

    1. Create a new roster out of the current NBA roster
    2. Edit every player to have the "years in NBA" number to 0
    3. Start a new MyLeague with the roster and simulate the entire year. Make sure to set the draft class quality to 0 if you want to avoid randomly generated players being a factor.
    4. Go into your video settings and turn press & audience quality to off

    Every player should play in the summer league from there. Summer league court is universal, and there will be no crowd or media. Short regular season that turns into a playoff bracket. It's far from being identical but it's fairly immersive still if you're looking for that sort of thing. I've run it a few times and it's pretty fun.

    Just wondering what generation, if any, people are going to buy NBA 2K21 on?

    I only found out recently 2K are being greedy pricks and won't be giving people a free upgrade like many games companies are, even EA...

    I personally will only be buying it once, and I'd rather have it on next gen, but the downside is I'm going to be so far behind people on MT and MC which will be annoying. Although I've not read confirmation on saves for the latter carrying over onto next gen.

    Salary in MyCareer

    Hey, I'm a bit of a newcomer to the game and to basketball in general, I've played some MyCareer and in 75 rated in around January I think, I became a starter at the Knicks but I requested a trade to the Bulls, will this increase my salary from the 500 VC I got at the Knicks or will it not? Also I heard that your salary increases at the end of the season, I was wandering how much it increases by?

    Devin Booker Ricky Rubio

    Both play nothing like real life.

    Javel McGee is real bummy but always savage when playing against him though.

    Got me wondering who else you guys feel that because of limited animations and badges 2k cannot replicate because of to much focus elsewhere like My team.
