- Convinced this game has reached its ceiling. When the game 1st came out the servers were terrible. So many wins that I lost out on from randomly getting kicked. If I was winning all you had to do was call multiple TO’s & the error message would pop up & half the time I’d take an L for no reason smh.

Spent upwards of 1500 for last years myteam (Clearly I learned my lesson, but not before being run through the wringer a couple years...) Got like 30$ worth of VC this year, which hurt the soul even so, and have been spending MT from daily log ins and locker codes to buy packs. Starting out the year I got halfway though domination, played 0 games online, and haven't played an actual MyTeam game since October. Mind you, I've opened 4 singles since then (all of my VC went to MyCarrer) 1st one Ruby Westbrook, Second one was Ruby Jokic, Nothing too sweet, right? Fast forward to about a month ago, 3rd ever Pack BAM PD Rolando. Redeemed him and exited MyTeam. Still wasn't enough to entice me. I know the kinds of tricks being played here. I still log in everyday before I go to the rec, and today, sure enough, I had 6000 MT so I ripped a pack. BAM PD Harden If you read the patents they have pending, and the terms of use (they appeared when you first load the game, when they ask for your email yada yada) you'll notice one or two that, if looked up in the patent database, loosely outlines the codes are collecting data based on user input, behavior, etc. We can assume some of the functions of data collecting are normal, as in nothing any other games aren't doing, like when you log on to see more popular times for server load etc... But I feel strongly there is data being collected that is being used maliciously. To be clear, I feel they keep track of how much you do/don't spend, and throw you promotions and good pack odds in the event you aren't meeting a 'average spending quota' to try to tempt you to purchase VC. The odds don't seem to have changed much for the better from last year, and if that's the case, either they are monitoring my accounts spending, or I had the worst luck last year and the BEST luck this year,. The odds of it being if being the latter are astronomical. Clearly I am grazing over this generally, and more explanation can be given if asked. Its a lot to type and explain, and I felt the brunt of the idea here could still be understood without going balls to the wall. Thoughts? | Derrick Rose Reimagined (Part. I) Posted: 05 Dec 2019 02:48 PM PST DERRICK ROSE REIMAGINED PART I The question every avid NBA fan has asked for the past seven years is, "What would Derrick Rose have been if he never got injured?" Today I'll reimagine the former Most Valuable Player, All-Star, and fastbreak show-time monster... DERRICK ROSE Note: This is also kind of a league reimagination, starting in the 2008-2009 season, so we may see some of the best players in the league now flop, or inevitably, go to different teams in the draft. I'll also give myself the first pick so I can draft D-Rose, all the other stuff is automatically done by 2K, and nothing is changed by me, none of the outcomes, stats, anything. Before D-Rose: I thought people would be pretty mad if I didn't go with the bulls for this simulation, that's his home, and rightfully so that's what we'll be working with here. The Roster: This roster is undoubtedly weak, but some great pieces that can still develop. A twenty-two-year-old Luol Deng (83), a twenty-four-year-old Ben Gordon (82), and a twenty-two-year-old Joakim Noah (75). This team could easily go far without D-Rose through development. Luckily, we won't have to take that path. The Season: We'd come out pretty strong, 9-3 to be exact. Then it'd settle down a bit as I had expected. You'd figure this team would be a 41-41 bubble team to start, but one thing that grabbed my attention is that the team chemistry was only 51% for pretty much the majority of the season. But, that wouldn't last forever. It would end up falling lower than ever before (49%) and all-in-all, this wasn't a playoff team, much less in championship contention. And we ended up a little bit under where I thought we would, 37-45. Awards: Dwight won MVP: 26-18 with 1.6 steals and 3 blocks per game (lmao) KD won ROY: 28-6-3, a 50-40-80 season Millsap won SMOY: 12-7-3 Bron won DPOY: 2 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game (also 30-7-8 for the season) Bron won MIP: 30-7-8 for the season Flip Saunders won COY: 66-16 for the season All-NBA First Team: Kobe, Wade, Bron, KG, Dwight, Playoffs When people say the east was weak, they were damn right. 37-45 got us a seven seed against Dwight and the Orlando Magic, in which he smacked us like he was our daddy for five games. Champs Dallas Maverick (FMVP - Dirk) Save Us D-Rose Now that the grueling season was over, we'd get our boy. I think it's pretty crazy that Westbrook, Ibaka, Kevin Love, and Gallinari are all in this draft as-well. And now for some crazy landing spots for the current league's stars. Crazy Landing Spots Westbrook to Portland Trail Blazers Gallinari to Milwaukee Bucks Kevin Love to the Boston Celtics Serge Ibaka to the Sacramento Kings Rookie Year We couldn't sign any free agents due to cap space, which makes this simulation even better. Rose was 19 years old, yet an 84 overall already. This was going to be good. Derrick would average 13 points in the Summer League, not what I thought he would, but he had plenty of time to develop. We also had Lou, fucking Williams. Who was averaging 21-4? (only had him in the summer league) Rose's first regular-season game would be nationally televised against Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, and the Detroit Pistons. He'd lead us to a 105-96 win, and drop 27-2-6 on 10-21 shooting, 3-6 from behind the arc, and 4-4 from the charity stripe. Our next game was against the Milwaukee Bucks, he'd drop 24-2-7 on 10-20 shooting that night. It wasn't enough. We'd lose 112-91. We didn't have another nationally televised game until the Dallas Mavericks, and it was going to be good. Coming into that game 6-5, on a three-game losing streak, we'd try our hardest but fall 111-93. Despite D.Rose putting up 25-5-6-3, and Luol notching 29 points that night… Dirk couldn't be stopped. He destroyed our defense, putting up 55-13-3-3 and draining 9 triples. Ben Gordon had been injured, so Derrick and Luol were going through the motions themselves, this team wasn't great last year and a rookie wasn't going to change that, regardless of who he was. Derrick would go down with a Pinched Nerve In The Back, leaving midway through our televised game against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. It took him a couple of weeks to become healthy again and he was having himself a season by the all-star break, averaging 21-2-7 and a steal and a half per game! After The Break Somehow, this team was worse than the year before. It's not like we lost anyone, just... Nothing was working. Derrick was putting up numbers, but not the most efficient ones. It would be a work in progress for him. We'd end up with a 28-54 record, regressing from what we had last year. Stats Derrick Rose: PTS: 21.0 RPG: 2.7 APG: 7.5 SPG: 1.6 FG%: .471 3P%: .313 Derrick had a pretty good rookie season, I think the assists surprised me the most. If he kept going on this path we'd be fine. Remember, Rookie Rose only averaged 16 points in his first season. Awards MVP: Dwight Howard ROY: Tom Carpenter SMOY: Boris Diaw DPOY - LeBron James MIP - Nate Robinson COY - Stan Van Gundy Playoffs The Detroit Pistons would come back from down 2-0 to beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals this year. Chauncey Billups was the FMVP. Off-Season We ended up getting the fifth pick in the Draft Lottery. This meant I could possibly trade up to the first pick and get another all-time player. I'll try to be realistic with my pick, noting that this draft has James Harden, Stephen Curry, etc. We know how most of these players turn out, so let's get into the draft and see if I can trade up picks. Draft Night I couldn't acquire the first pick, so we were stuck with the fifth, still a great pick though. Some notable names on the board were: DeMar DeRozan, James Harden, Tyreke Evans, Ricky Rubio, Jrue Holiday, also Taj Gibson (hehe). Now, granted this is a reimagination and we're trying to actually win. I'd narrowed my options down, it'd either be Harden or DeMar. James' career could be a whole lot different than it is now, he could stay in the Sixth Man role he had on the Thunder. And so, that's what I went with... James Harden. Crazy Landing Spots Stephen Curry to OKC Blake Griffin to MEM Derozan to CHA Jrue Holiday still ended up in NOLA somehow We also got Demarre Carroll with the fourth pick in the second round. I'd make sure we got Sefolosha and Joakim back, signing them both to our team deals. We'd be able to use this once again on Noah, but for Thabo, this was the last time. I'd have to choose whether I wanted to pay him next year or not. Free Agency Ben Gordon and Drew Gooden's contracts had expired. I decided to let both of them go considering they really couldn't do so much for us in the future. We had 13 Million dollars in cap space, enough to get someone good. With that, I signed Stephen Jackson for two years. He'd play next to Derrick Rose and James Harden at the three. Endings With the end of this episode coming to an end, and a lot more action left to come, especially with our playoff chances, we'd end up with this starting five. Derrick Rose (90) Luol Deng (86) Joakim Noah (82) Kirk Hinrich (81) James Harden (81) Anyways, I appreciate you for reading this all the way through. This will probably be the most boring episode so far, considering we didn't make the playoffs for two seasons. Sadly my eyes cant see any difference between red & green, wich makes my job as a pointguard pretty hard. Obviously this is to hype up the game. Then a month or so into the game they'll "tweak" shit in the game no one asked for then go ghost the entire year aka bathe in the money pit they just made off their customers. This might be the only community that tolerates this kinda shit but rightfully so. Its the only basketball game out and we don't get the luxury of having a alternative.
